Brazilian Football Star in €222 million World Record Transfer to Paris Saint-Germain

France leading football club Paris Saint-Germain has signed Brazilian football star Neymar Jr from Barcelona FC for a world record transfer fee of €222 million.  The Brazilian striker signed a five-year contract until June 30 2022.  He is expected to earn €865,000 euros a week – before tax,  €45m a year.

At 25 years old, he has represented the Brazilian national team 77 times, scoring 52 goals.  He is one of the most popular football star in the planet, with  extraordinary technique and has already achieved 15 titles at club level.  He is expected to bring Paris Saint-Germain football club to the top of world football.  Since 2011, the french football club is owned by Oryx Qatar Sports Investments.  Qatar global investments in the last decade had grown significantly, supported by its rich resources and one of the world’s largest Sovereign Wealth Fund – 2017 US$335 billion asset.
