A 59.6 carat pink diamond is tipped to be the most expensive diamond ever auctioned when it is up for sale next month. Sotheby’s plans to auction the “Pink Star” diamond at its sale in Hong Kong on 4th April. The auction house has estimated that it will sell for more than $60 million.

The diamond however contains a story that makes it intriguing. In 2014, it was sold for $83.2 million but its winning bidder by the name of Isaac Wolf failed to pay up after his investors backed out, leaving the diamond unsold. It was subsequently returned to Sotheby’s.
