Founder of iPhone Screen Vendor Paid HK$2.8 Billion for Luxury Home

The founder of Biel Crystal Manufactory, Yeung Kin-man has paid HK$2.8 billion (US$361 million) for a luxury home on the Peak. The property has an area of 51,000 square feet. The company currently makes screen for two out of every three iPhones sold in the world. The company started producing crystals for watches and went to producing glass screens for cellular phones, securing Motorola Inc as its first big customer in 2003.

The couple is ranked eighth in Hong Kong’s 50 richest people with a combined net worth at US$8.4 billon according to Forbes list.  This purchase values per square foot price at HK$109,571 on the house.
