World’s Richest People Lost $41 Billion on Donald Trump’s Presidential Election Win

The Bloomberg Billionaires Index declined by $41 billion as stock market across the world fluctuated on news that Donald Trump would become the 45th US. President. Mexico’s wealthiest person Carlos Slim lost $5.1 billion after the Mexican peso dived as much as 12% on the news.

10 Mexican billionaires on the index dropped a combined $6.5 billion in early trading. Eva Gonda Rivera, Mexico’s fourth-richest person had a $487 million loss while Lorenzo Servitje Sendra, the fifth richest lost $397 million. U.S. billionaires had the biggest dollar loss, falling $9.3 billion.
